How to Take Measurements for Your Awning

Adjustable Aluminum Awnings Measure the drop of the window from the mounting point to the centerline. (See Diagram 1)		Diagram 1

Measure window width from outside edge to outside edge. Awning should overlap window from 6 to 10 inches on each side, so add an additional 12 inches up to 20 inches on to your width measurement. (See Diagram 2)		Diagram 2

Aluminum Door Canopy Determine the Projection of the Canopy by measuring from the wall to the edge of the landing. (See Diagram 3)		Diagram 3

Measure door width from outside edge to outside edge. Canopy should overlap door a minimum of 6 inches on each side, and ideally should be the full width of the landing. (See Diagram 4)		Diagram 4

Fixed Louvre Aluminum Awnings Measure from mounting point down to the centerline of window to determine awning drop. (See Diagram 5)		Diagram 5

Measure window width from outside edge to outside edge. Awning should overlap window a minimum of 6 inches on each side, so add an additional 6-10 inches on to your width measurement. (See Diagram 6)		Diagram 6

Adjustable Bahamair Shutters Measure height of window from the mounting point to the bottom of the sill. (See Diagram 7)		Diagram 7

Measure window width from outside edge to outside edge. Awning should overlap window a minimum of 4 inches on each side, so add a additional 4-6 inches on to your width measurement. (See Diagram 8)		Diagram 8
