Measure the drop of the window from the mounting point to the
centerline.

Measure window width from
outside edge to outside edge. Awning should overlap window from
6 to 10 inches on each side, so add an additional 12 inches up
to 20 inches on to your width measurement.

Determine the Projection of the Canopy by measuring from the
wall to the edge of the landing.

Measure door width from outside
edge to outside edge. Canopy should overlap door a minimum of
6 inches on each side, and ideally should be the full width of
the landing.
